Your Data, Contact & Communication

What data about you do we collect?

Whilst browsing this site data will be collected about you by Google Analytics (from which you can opt out – see previous section) and non-personal data to do with your product choices stored on cookies (see above also).

The only way we collect, store and process your personal data (data that can identify you) is if you contact us by post, email or telephone or place an order through the site. The legal basis for processing your data is to fulfil the contractual obligation or potential contractual obligation for which you have asked us to provide a quote. If you contact us by email to receive a quote or to enquire about our products, we may follow up that email in future to find out if you are still interested in our products.

Personal data submitted as part of an order will be stored securely for legal and accounting reasons. This personal data is limited to name, address, telephone number and email, which we receive either because you entered on them on the site’s checkout page or on PayPal’s checkout page (or stored in you PayPal account).

If you submit personal details to PayPal during payment to settle the transaction they will transmitted to us (name, address, telephone number and email) but we do not receive or store any credit card details from PayPal. When paying via PayPal you will also be consenting to their terms and conditions and privacy policy.

When you enter your credit/debit card details on our checkout page they will transmitted directly and securely to Stripe who will process the transaction. This website does not store these details. You will be subject to Stripe’s  privacy policy.

How long will we keep your data?

Your personal data provided by email is kept private and stored securely on an email server for a maximum of 3 years, when it will be archived.

The personal data associated with a transaction will be kept complete for a maximum of 3 years. After that the associated contact details will be removed but your name alongside the transaction amount and products purchased will be stored for a maximum of 6 years for legal/accounting reasons.

Who do share your data with?

We will not sure your personal data with any other third parties.

Marketing

Currently we will not be using your personal (contact) details submitted as part of a transaction for any follow-up marketing (this includes transactions before 24/05/18 that pre-date this policy). We may update this in the future so please check back if making another purchase to see if anything has changed.

Accessing and deleting your data

If you wish to access the data we store about you, please email info@rawmudflap.uk and we promise to reply within 72 hours.

If you would like us to delete the data we store about you, please also email us.  We will delete all email correspondence from our email server and contact details from our transaction database but we must keep your name and transaction amount/details for legal/accounting reasons.

If any data breaches occur that might put your data at risk we will email you within 72 hours.
